In Sticky Beast, you can see that there is a lot of influence from vintage sounds that easily recall pop culture from the sixties, seventies and eighties. From TV series (Disco Beat) to radio shows and video games. The one that is noticeable that has a nod to St. Germain is the one in “Final Round” with “So Flute” by the Frenchman, but with a smile to Mortal Kombat where Sticky Beast wins.

I like the game they play with passages in which a collage of sounds and ambient textures appears (I applaud DJ Shadow for that sound puzzle he weaves) that are inserted into the beat to grow and strengthen the songs, I noticed it more in Don’t Stop! (the Music). The single, like the rest of the tracks, strikes a good balance to not be monotonous, which is always dangerous when using inserts, loops, beats and programming. The guitar, bass and keyboard riffs give excellent nuances. You can hear a lot of freshness, freedom and emotion. I feel joy in the project, a young and daring breath of fresh air to rescue us from a lot of “trendy” music.
